Luntian means "green" in Filipino and stands for revolutionising traditional Filipino, Asian and local cuisines into kinder and more compassionate formats.
Our mission is to transform cuisines we grew up with by creating vegan versions of it and inspiring New Zealanders (and the world!) to embrace kindness and compassion and be more conscious of the impact of our habits and lifestyles on ourselves and the planet.
The Christchurch Vegan Society (Te Rōpū Whēkana o Ōtautahi)
The Christchurch Vegan Society (Te Rōpū Whēkana o Ōtautahi) provides information and activities to support and grow our local vegan community.
We run regular events like the Vegan Expo, Vegan Camp, Vegan Night Mākete, Vegan Ball, pot lucks, talks, information stalls, and youth, LGBTQIA+, and family activities. We also run Vegan Angels - delivering meal kits and baking in times of need and offering grocery pick-ups for those isolating.
Everything we do at Bonobo is based on kindness; being kind to the planet, to the animals, our health and each other. Our aim is to cause the least amount of suffering, partly by only using animal-free ingredients. The profits of the café will be used to establish an animal sanctuary where animals can live out their lives respected, loved and understood.
